Soaps for Oily Skin
Oily skin is often shiny, with enlarged pores, and may be prone to breaking out. Environmental pollution and hormonal changes contribute to oily skin. Soaps which contain exfoliants, such as apricot seed, walnut, or almond, will remove sebum and excess skin cells, which cause blockages. Care must be taken not to overcleanse and strip skin of its natural protective coat, which causes glands to compensate by pumping out more oil. Harmonizing and toning ingredients, such as verbena, tea, mint, and sage, will help balance oily skin. Thorough rinsing, after cleansing, is a must.
